Becoming Fearless in 2017

Becoming fearless in 2017. Letting go of the fear and going after my dreams.

So many great things happened for me and my family in 2016.  My husband and I celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary and my son celebrated his 2nd birthday.  We became a family of 4 as we welcomed our beautiful daughter into this world in March.  My husband’s business is slowly, but surely growing.  I launched my blog and reached 1000 page views within a few short months!  Small goals to some, but important to me.

2016 was not without its challenges though.  We moved in with my parents to help save money due to starting our own business.  My husband was in a car accident that totaled his work truck and left him in therapy for months.  I struggled silently with anxiety and depression.  My daughter was hospitalized for a kidney infection in June.  I could go on and on about the challenges that we faced last year, but I won’t.

Letting Go of the Fear

Fear is debilitating.  It can cause you to lose out on so many opportunities and experiences.  I can honestly say that I’ve let my own fear hold me back on doing a lot of things that I’ve wanted or needed to do.  I can no longer do that.

Being a mother, I have to think about the example I want to be for my children.  In order to raise children who go after their dreams and ambitions, I first have to go after my own.

2017: Becoming Fearless.

I refuse to let my past worries and hardships dictate where I am going in my life.  I aim to reach for my dreams without the fear of being rejected.

Not everyone will agree with me on everything.  Not everyone will like me.  It’s okay.  I can no longer live to please everyone.  The only people I need to please are God and myself.

I can’t wait to grow as a woman, a wife, a mother and friend throughout this next year.  I have many goals and am excited to start putting plans in action to see them through.  What are you looking forward to accomplishing in 2017? I’d love to hear below!

If I had to pick a word, I would say Fearless as well. Sometimes you just have to try something new without overthinking it. Eliminate fear and Add faith!

I am so with you on this!! I have let fear hold me back in so many ways in the past and in 2016 I was working on knocking that out but in 2017 I’m full speed ahead. It’s so amazing how something that’s all in our heads can stifle us so much! Here’s to being fearless in 2017 🥂
